Are E- Cigarettes Safe?
Many students have expressed concern about being allowed to use E- Cigarettes even if the college moves forward with a campus ban on tobacco that would bring the campus up to date with its peers throughout the nation.
However, there is simply no evidence that e-cigarettes are safe as they are nothing more than a delivery system for nicotine, a substance proven to promote cancer.

“Many regulatory agencies and health experts aren't sure the e-cigarette is safe. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and some health experts are concerned that the side effects of inhaling pure nicotine have yet to be adequately studied, and are therefore unknown.”
